Free Food

Amritapuri, Amma’s main Ashram, and its branch centres feed more than 2,000,000 poor people every year. Ashram centres also distribute uncooked rice, milk and clothes.

Throughout the U.S.A., volunteers, inspired by Amma’s teachings of compassion, provide 40,000 meals a year for the homeless through a programme called Mother’s Kitchen.

Free Medicine

Amma’s branch ashrams often organize medical camps on
the same day that they serve free meals. Volunteer doctors
and nurses perform routine check-ups and distribute both
allopathic and ayurvedic medicines.

In Kerala, the Ashram’s AIMS Hospital provides free medicines
for the poor through its permanent village-based health centre just outside of Kochi.
